Spiced Hot Cocoa Anti-Inflammatory Drink

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, honey or maple syrup, and spices until fully combined.
  3. Continue to heat until hot, but not boiling, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour into mugs and enjoy warm.
