Shakshouka Toast

Shakshouka Toast is a delightful dish combining the traditional flavors of shakshouka with delicious turkey bacon and chicken ham. Perfect for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 slices chicken ham
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and chicken ham, cooking until crispy.
  2. Add tomato sauce and paprika. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Create small wells in the sauce and gently crack the eggs into each well.
  4. Cover the skillet and cook until the eggs are set to your liking.
  5. Toast the bread and place it on a plate.
  6. Top the toast with the shakshouka and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • Can substitute turkey bacon with regular bacon if preferred.
