Old Fashioned Beef Stroganoff Recipe

A classic dish made with tender beef, creamy sauce, and a twist of turkey bacon for added flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
  • 4 strips turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add beef slices and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add onions, garlic, and mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir, and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  6. Return beef and bacon to the skillet, simmer until thickened.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of beef and pork sautéed together.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for additional presentation.
