A delicious twist on a classic beef stroganoff recipe, featuring turkey bacon for extra flavor.

  • 1 pound beef tenderloin
  • 4 strips turkey bacon
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil, then cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  6. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in the sour cream and cooked beef, then return to heat until warmed through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper, and crumble the cooked turkey bacon on top before serving.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, use lean beef or substitute with chicken.
  • Serve over egg noodles or rice for a complete meal.
