  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by patting it dry and placing it in a roasting pan.
  3. Rub the turkey with softened butter, making sure to get it under the skin.
  4. Season the turkey with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Stuff the cavity of the turkey with onion, carrots, and celery.
  6. Pour chicken broth into the roasting pan.
  7. Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, basting occasionally.
  8. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
