  • 1 whole turkey, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 lemon, quartered
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 2 sprigs of thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and season inside and out with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Stuff the cavity with onion, lemon, rosemary, and thyme.
  4. Place the turkey on a rack in a roasting pan.
  5. Roast for about 13 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
