Breakfast Pizza Hash Brown Crust

A delicious and indulgent breakfast twist on a classic pizza with a crispy hash brown crust.

  • 1 package frozen hash browns
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the hash browns with salt and pepper and press them into the bottom of a greased pie dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for about 25 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, then stir in the crumbled sausage, diced bell pepper, and green onions.
  5. Once the crust is ready, pour the egg mixture over it and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be customized with your favorite toppings such as tomatoes or spinach.
  • For a spicier kick, consider adding jalapeños.
