Beef Stroganoff

A comforting Beef Stroganoff recipe made easy with turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the beef and brown on all sides.
  3. Add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms; cook until soft.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  5. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
  6. Once thickened, reduce heat and stir in the sour cream.
  7. Return the turkey bacon to the skillet; cook for a few more minutes and season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • Serve over egg noodles or rice for a complete meal.
  • Can substitute beef with chicken for a lighter version.
